L’importanza della mediazione adulta
Isabel Fernandez, presidente dell’Associazione EMDR Italia, evidenzia che gli adulti stessi sono spesso traumatizzati, e questo influisce sulla percezione dei bambini. I piccoli non solo assistono a eventi drammatici, ma percepiscono anche le ansie e le preoccupazioni degli adulti. Attualmente, numerosi psicologi stanno portando avanti incontri nelle scuole per fornire ai bambini strumenti di stabilizzazione e rilassamento, derivanti dalla terapia EMDR. Questi strumenti aiutano a promuovere un senso di sicurezza e stabilità, permettendo ai bambini di affrontare e rielaborare le esperienze traumatiche. L’approccio EMDR si rivela utile per rafforzare le sensazioni positive e desensibilizzare le emozioni negative accumulate.
La terapia EMDR è particolarmente efficace in situazioni di crisi, poiché si tratta di un intervento breve.
